In Naruto, the Sharingan eye is a unique Kekkei Genkai exclusive to the Uchiha clan, and its power is coveted throughout the ninja world. The Sharingan's abilities can continuously evolve, from the initial single tomoe to the ultimate Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, with each evolution representing a qualitative leap.
The Sharingan will awaken exclusive abilities when it evolves into the Mangekyō Sharingan. Due to the distinct characteristics of the Uchiha clan members, the abilities of the Mangekyō Sharingan vary widely. Among numerous abilities, what would be considered the weakest if we consider the strongest to be Susanoo?
The strongest ability is Susanoo, it’s awakened by Itachi after acquiring the Mangekyō Sharingan. In the battle of "Amaterasu vs. Kagutsuchi," Itachi transplanted the Sharingan to Kakashi, so that Kakashi could use Susanoo. Susanoo has long been regarded as the most powerful ability, providing both offense and defense, making it a nearly perfect power.
Next is Amaterasu, which is considered the most potent physical attack. The user can unleash an eternal black flame, and the enemy hit will continue to burn until consumed. However, apart from Black Zetsu, Amaterasu has not seemed to defeat many opponents, and its track record is not particularly impressive.
Speaking of Amaterasu, we cannot ignore the ability of Kagutsuchi. Kagutsuchi is Sasuke's ability awakened after gaining the Mangekyō Sharingan, which is an upgraded version of Amaterasu. Kagutsuchi allows the user to manipulate the form of the flames produced by Amaterasu, retracting the already released Amaterasu, increasing its controllability, and making it a more powerful offensive tool.
The Uchiha clan excels in Genjutsu, so among the Mangekyō abilities, there are two Genjutsu attributes, Tsukuyomi of Itachi and Amenotejikara of Shisui. Amenotejikara is Shisui's dōjutsu, which can change an opponent's thoughts without them noticing, a potent Genjutsu that allows tangible perception. Tsukuyomi is Itachi's Mangekyō ability, a formidable Genjutsu that distorts time within the illusionary world. Both abilities are considered very powerful, especially Amenotejikara, hailed as one of the strongest Genjutsu.
Lastly, we must mention the Rinnegan. Some say it is the ultimate evolution of the Sharingan, but in reality, the Rinnegan's activation requires tapping into the power of the Six Paths Sage, necessitating the combined powers of Indra and Asura. Therefore, the Rinnegan is not the ultimate evolution for all Sharingans but represents the final form of Uchiha Madara's Sharingan.
So, in your opinion, which Mangekyō Sharingan ability do you consider the weakest?
